GETTING STARTED

Bespoke wedding for Denis and Minky at Balmoral

First meeting and interview

At our first meeting we can complete the identity checks for each party to the marriage and complete the Notice of Intention to Marry Form (NOIM) This must be at least a month before the wedding ceremony and no more than 18 months. There is no obligation until we  decide that we would like to proceed.

Telling the story

My job is to tell your story to captivate your family and friends at the wedding. I do this by interviewing you both and finding out some history, some special times you have shared, perhaps some difficult times and, of course why you have decided to get married!

I send you the first version of the script and then we work on it together until you are happy with the final result. It's your day and you make the final decision. I will offer advice about how the story and readings fit together and how to incorporate anything special you want

Professional fees

My all inclusive professional fees include preparation of the NOIM, interviews, writing, editing and advising on vows, helping to select readings and developing a final script. A rehearsal is offered, onsite if possible, and of course the actual ceremony, a professional PA system and lodgement of legal documents. I liaise with your wedding planner or the venue coordinator, photographer or videographer as needed. I provide a high level of personal service with unlimited contact from our first meeting to your ceremony and after.

Your vows

I have a simple and helpful guide: '7 Steps to Writing Your Vows' which will help you to write those personal and heartfelt vows. If you are uncertain how to write them I can help all the way through to the end result.

Something special?

My ceremonies have involved children of all ages, dogs carrying the rings, helicopters bringing the bridal party, ring blessings and much more. I am adaptable and prepared to incorporate whatever you want. I usually wear a bow-tie. However, I don't dress in an Elvis suit or as a gorilla!
